Description

National Instruments SignalExpress(tm) Tektronix Edition provides the industry's first true USB plug-n-play connectivity for instrumentation offering an intuitive drag-and-drop user interface that does not require any programming.
SignalExpress(tm) provides advanced analysis, the ability to connect and control multiple instruments within one software environment, digital signal processing, analysis and reporting functions.
SignalExpress(tm) TE also allows you to quickly and easily import simulated results from the most common simulation environments and compare against live measured results. Signal Express natively supports the TDS1000B, TDS2000B, TDS3000B, TDS3000C, MSO2000, DPO2000, MSO3000, DPO3000, MSO4000 and DPO4000 series oscilloscopes and the AFG3000 series Arbitrary/Function Generators.

NI LabVIEW SignalExpress Tektronix Edition version 2.5.1 is fully interactive measurement acquisition, analysis, and documentation software. You can use LabVIEW SignalExpress Tektronix Edition to connect Tektronix instruments to a PC. With built-in USB plug-and-play capabilities in Windows XP and Vista, LabVIEW SignalExpress Tektronix Edition automatically detects when you connect a supported Tektronix instrument to the PC. With this functionality, you can immediately control the instrument and acquire data from the instrument.

The Limited Edition (LE) version of LabVIEW SignalExpress Tektronix Edition is available free-of-charge.  In addition,  you can try out the additional functionality of the full, Professional version for 30-days.  After the 30-day trial period, you may order your own copy of LabVIEW SignalExpress Tektronix Edition Professional version through a Tektronix Authorized Distributor.

Using NI LabVIEW SignalExpress Tektronix Edition LE, you can take advantage of the following:
• Ability to configure and connect Tektronix instruments with the industry’s first, true USB plug-and-play connectivity solution.
• An intuitive drag-and-drop user interface that does not require any programming.
• Capability to capture, transfer, and save measurement settings, waveforms, and screen images.
• Measurement trending.

NI LabVIEW SignalExpress Tektronix Edition also comes with built-in support for the following:
• Tektronix MSO3000, MSO4000, DPO4000, DPO3000, MSO2000, DPO2000, TDS3000, TDS2000B, and TDS1000B series oscilloscopes
• Tektronix AFG3000 series arbitrary/function generator NOTE: If using the AFG3011 an update of the IVI driver to v3.1 is required.

Complete the following steps to install NI LabVIEW SignalExpress Tektronix Edition on Windows 2000/XP or Vista.
1. Log on as an administrator or as a user with administrator privileges.
2. Save the download executable file to your computer and make a note of where it is saved.
3. It is strongly recommended that you exit all programs before you run the NI SignalExpress Tektronix Edition installer. Applications that run in the background, such as virus scanning utilities, might cause the installer to take longer than average to complete.
4. Double-click the downloaded executable file to begin installation program. Follow the directions carefully.
NOTE: If you already have another National Instruments program installed on your computer (which share files with the Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX)), you must install LabVIEW SignalExpress TE on the same drive.

System Requirements
To run LabVIEW SignalExpress Tektronix Edition, National Instruments recommends that your system meet the following requirements:
• 1 GB of RAM, with a minimum of 512MB RAM
• Pentium 4 processor or equivalent (Pentium III or Celeron 800 MHz minimum)
