Tektronix Communications' Spectra2 Total Test Solution for Next Generation (NGN) and Legacy Telecom Networks (WebID: 15975):
This document has been designed to provide you an overview of NGN functional elements, protocols, and media along with a catalog of how Spectra2's Total Test Solution helps you deliver on the promise of the NGN. (24 Pages, CAW-23815-1)
Application Overview 27-Aug-2009
Turning Up in a Downturn (WebID: 15536):
While mobile telecommunication has proven to be one of the industry segments least impacted by the 2008-2009 economic crisis, carriers around the world are still being cautious. They are slowing down operational spending rates and infrastructure investments. While mobile telecommunications has gone through some dramatic cycles in recent years, the fundamentals of the industry are noticeably different in 2009. (CAW-24082-0)
White Paper 03-Jun-2009
Reduce Drive Test Costs and Increase Effectiveness of 3G Network Optimization (WebID: 15397):
This application note will describe how modern wireless operators can achieve increased network optimization efficiency by overcoming some of the typical shortcomings of a dated optimization strategy inherited from the 2G world. (8 Pages, CAW-23083-0)
Application Note 01-May-2009
Spectra2: Benchmarking Capacity (WebID: 14250):
Learn how Tektronix calculates benchmarking numbers for Spectra2 by defining a call using the following metrics: MPS, TPS, CPS, BHCA, and BHCC. (CAW-22987-0)
Application Note 11-Sep-2008
Spectra2 for IMS Testing (WebID: 12353):
Learn about Spectra2 and its ability to support IMS testing for your network. This brochure provides information about Spectra2 for IMS Testing, Advanced Features, Quality of Service, Monitoring, and Hardware Interfaces. (CIW-18208-7)
Application Note 26-Aug-2008
Multi-Interface WiMAX R1 Protocol Analysis with Tektronix G35 and WaveJudge 4800 (WebID: 14162):
As outlined in this solution note, combining the G35 protocol analyzer with the WaveJudge air-interface sniffer provides the ideal solution to solve this “synchronization” issue. Additionally, by decoding air-interface traffic provided via a BS mirror port, the G35 is able to compare traffic decoded by the air-interface sniffer with traffic actually received at the BS and may detect PHY layer issues which would go undetected when using only a BS mirror port for monitoring. (4 Pages, CPW-22024-0)
Application Note 19-Aug-2008
APM for Converged Networks | Voice (WebID: 14053):
Designed to support the monitoring of data, voice and video applications, Tektronix’ Unified Assurance for Converged Networks (UACN) platform delivers comprehensive views of network, service or customer performance across multiple technology types (Mobile, IP and SS7). (4 Pages, CMW-22372-0)
Application Note 08-Jul-2008
Spectra2|SE Software-only IMS and VoIP Testing Solution (WebID: 12847):
The Spectra2|SE software-only testing solution is a Windows PC based software application that provides users with the capability to test IMS and VoIP networks from their laptops or desktops. (2FW-18233-7)
Application Note 08-Apr-2008
Tektronix K1297-G35-WiMAX (WebID: 5532):
Tektronix introduces the K1297-G35-WiMAX protocol test platform. This is the industry’s first solution for functional testing of mobile WiMAX radio access products that are based on the IEEE 802.16e standard. (CPW-21131-0)
Application Note 04-Oct-2007
RF Scout Interference Hunter (WebID: 6283):
RF field engineers spend a lot of time characterizing their own and their competitor’s networks. This process can be time consuming if each carrier has to be analyzed one at a time. The RF Scout’s ability to characterize multiple networks in a single-pass saves the RF engineer’s valuable time. This combined with the native interference hunting ability allows the RF Scout to provide the complete solution for interference hunting that is demanded in the challenging optimization and planning environment.
