Multiformat Generator
The TG2000 is a multiformat, analog and digital, precision signal generation platform. Designed for the most demanding test applications, the TG2000 provides reference-quality test signals, stressing functions in both the analog and digital domains and the flexibility to address user-defined testing requirements. Comprehensive test signal libraries are supplied in all formats and are supplemented by a Windows-based test signal development program. The modular architecture, RAM-based test signal generators, and programmable system clocks ensure the TG2000 will meet future needs as well as today’s requirements. The TG2000 has a high-stability internal reference making it suitable as the master house reference for most broadcast and production/postproduction applications. A black-burst output, selectable for NTSC or PAL, is provided with the TG2000 mainframe. The TG2000 also provides a versatile and comprehensive remote control system. All front-panel functions and controls are available through the RS-232 and optional GPIB ports. A subset of those functions is available through ground closure control.

Designed with the changing needs of the video industry in mind, the TG700 offers sync pulse generation and test signal generation for a wide array of analog, serial digital, and digital high-definition formats. The TG700 Multiformat Video Generator has a modular architecture that offers the flexibility to meet the single format and growing multiformat needs of the video professional. Up to four of the following modules can be fitted: The AGL7 Analog Genlock Module adds the capacity to lock to a variety of signals. The GPS7 GPS Synchronization and Timecode Module includes an integrated GPS receiver which can serve as the system timing reference. The ATG7 Composite Analog Test Generator supports PAL, NTSC, and NTSC NoSetup. The AVG7 is an Analog Video Generator for 525/625 interlace formats supporting component (Y’P’bP’r, G,B,R, Y/C), 525 Beta, and composite (PAL, NTSC, NTSC NoSetup). The AWVG7 is an Analog Wideband Video Generator that supports a variety of HD analog component formats (Y’P’bP’r or GBR). The AG7 provides eight channels (four AES/EBU pairs) of audio signal generation. The BG7 is an analog black generator with four independently selectable outputs. The DVG7 is a multiformat SD-SDI test signal generator. The HDVG7 is a high-accuracy, multiformat, high-definition test signal module that provides up to two identical 1.485 Gb/s serial digital video test signal outputs in a broad variety of formats. The HDLG7 is a test signal generator that provides two identical dual link high-definition serial digital interface (HD SDI) outputs.
